2000 to present. Psychiatric Consultant.
Inpatient psychiatry and substance abuse treatment units. Performed initial history, physical examination, laboratory studies, medication stabilization and follow-up. Coordination of inpatient services and transition to out patient services. Performed daily rounds and brief psychotherapy. Treated and or triaged medical problems. When all psychiatric inpatient services were transferred to Topeka BA Medical Center, transferred to the Wichita VA outpatient mental health clinic. Duties included psychodiagnostic evaluations and medication management.
