Behavioral Medicine Specialists, P.A. was established in 1997. BMSPA is a multi-specialty, mental health counseling group made up of four Psychologists, seven Clinical Social Workers, two Psychiatric Physician Assistants and one Psychiatrist. Some of the services that our psychologists, doctors, clinicians, counselors and therapists provide are individual psychotherapy, marital therapy, family counseling, child counseling, group therapy and psychiatric medication evaluation and management.

BMSPA is HIPAA compliant and holds patient confidentiality in the highest regard. Client information and accounting functions are held in house, not farmed out. This assures your private business stays private.

Establishing the boundaries of confidentiality is an important part of any relationship with a counselor. Be assured that BMSPA's counselors and therapists hold the patient's confidential information to the highest standards possible.

Psychologists, Counselors and clients are considered to be in a partnership. Both parties can openly discuss choices and ask questions in a trusting manner. This ideology stems from striving to maintain the most objective outlook by both parties (the counselor and the client) in formulating and exercising optimal treatment plans. Many health care professionals and clients claim that this trust and relationship is therapeutic in its own right.

The psychologists, doctors, professionals, counselors and therapists at Behavioral Medicine Specialists, P.A. are approved members of most major managed care panels. Some of our providers are medicare and medicaid certified. Most insurance companies are accepted and claims are filed by our Accounts Receivable Department. For specific questions regarding insurance coverage, call our office at 686-5195 during business hours.
